Here at Liftable Media Inc., we hire seasonal interns in each department. This summer, we were blessed with seven talented and hard-working interns that want to share about their internship experience at Liftable Media!
Allison, Sophia, and Erin were the Editorial Interns, Max and Michael were the Marketing Interns, Dan was the Programming Intern, and Rachel was the Business Intern.
All of the interns really loved their time here at Liftable Media, gained a lot of experience in their fields, and built great friendships with their fellow co-workers. They also enjoyed the fun work environment and even spent quality time together outside of work, including game nights and day trips to explore Arizona!
What They Worked On
Allison, Erin, and Sophia focused on writing and editing articles for The Western Journal and its sub-brands: ConservativeTribune, Liftable, and The Wildcard. They also helped with scheduling the content that would go on each Facebook page from time to time, as well as trying their hand in editing videos. Erin said, “My favorite project was designing and creating social media posts for the Thoughtful Women Instagram! I also enjoyed writing for the World’s Unsolved Mysteries article in arbitrage.”
Max and Michael worked on creating Facebook and Google Ad campaigns, writing polls, data projects, and supporting work for Liftable Engagement Services. Max said, “My favorite project was definitely analyzing Congressional Facebook data and filtering through over 500 pages of data to build a list of ideal political leads for our Engagement Services and consulting work!”
Rachel enjoyed working on customer interest reports broken down by category to more specifically advertise to the average user. When asked about his favorite project, Dan replied, “I loved learning about APIs (application programming interface). I learned so much about APIs that I would never learn in school.”
Favorite Parts About Liftable Media
The interns had a lot to say when asked about their favorite parts and memories about Liftable Media. Michael said, “My favorite part was how inviting the environment was and how everyone was friends and would hang out outside of work.” Allison replied, “I loved how welcoming everyone was and how they included me in events as soon as I arrived. The people here are absolutely wonderful and have been some of the nicest friends who were willing to do anything for me. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know all these wonderful people.” Erin answered, “My favorite part about working for Liftable Media was that it often didn’t feel like work, and a lot of that was due to the wonderful (and hilarious!) people in the office. Great community here at this company.” Max also agreed, saying, “The environment was relaxed and informal, with great people who enjoy laughing!” Dan said, “What stood out to me the most was how I could hang out with co-workers outside of work. It helped me to not go insane because I only knew one person when I came to Phoenix.”
They all had fun getting together for game nights and celebrating three of the interns’ birthdays over the summer. Every Friday they would eat lunch together and debate topics such as if a calzone was a sandwich or not.
The interns also recalled a fun memory they shared together during a weekend trip to the Grand Canyon. They all hiked around the canyon together, and Michael even dared to sit on the edge of a cliff and almost gave everyone a heart attack!
